Raspberry mille feuille/ Mille feuille cu zmeura

Mille feuille is one of my favourite desserts. I think there is a perfect balance between the puff pastry and that sweet and flavoured vanilla cream. And with raspberries… everything becomes better!

Recepie:

4 rectangles of puff pastry(or any other shape)

1 egg yolk

1 tablespoon icing sugar

150 ml milk

1 tablespoon corn starch

1 vanilla bean

40 gr white chocolate

2 tablespoons raspberry jam

Mille feuille

1. Preheat your oven

2. Line a backing sheet with parchment paper

3. Add your puff pastry and add another sheet of parchment paper on top

4. Bake your pastry for 15 minutes or until golden brown

5. Into a sauce pan, pour the milk and add the corn starch, sugar, egg yolk and the seeds from the vanilla bean.

6. Bring the mixture to a boil but make sure to stir into it continuously

7. Add the chocolate and mix until is completely melted and let everything to cool.

Assemble the cake:

1 layer puff pastry, 1 layer vanilla filling, 1 layer puff pastry, 1 layer jam, again 1 layer puff pastry and so on.

Mille feuille este unul dintre deserturile mele favorite. In opinia mea intre foitaj si dulceata si finetea cremei de vanillie exista o balanta perfecta. Si cand mai adaugi si zmeura…totul devine mai bun!

Reteta:

4 dreptunghiuri de foitaj

1 galbenus de ou

1 lingura zahar pudra

150 ml lapte

1 lingura amidon

1 pastaie de vanilie

40 gr ciocolata alba

2 linguri gem de zmeura

1. Preincalziti cuptorul la 220 de grade Celsius

2. Pe o tava pe care ati pus hartie de copt in prealabil adaugati bucatile de foitaj

3. Adaugati o alta foaie de copt pe deasupra

4. Coaceti foitajul pentru 15 minute sau pana cand devine auriu

5. Intr-o oala se adauga laptele, amidonul, zaharul, galbenusul de ou si semintele de la pastaia de vanilie, se amesteca bine si se pun pe foc

6. Se da compozitia in clocot, se ia de pe foc si se adauga ciocolata.

7. Amestecati pana se topeste ciocolata complet si lasati sa se raceasca

Asamblati prajitura astfel:

1 strat foitaj, un strat crema, un strat foitaj, un strat de gem, un alt strat de foitaj si asa mai departe.
